Roundtable | EU–Indonesia Trade Deal: Opportunities and Challenges

This roundtable examined the opportunities, challenges, and strategic implications surrounding the EU–Indonesia trade agreement. Bringing together perspectives from government, academia, and the European Union, the discussion explored key policy issues shaping the future of EU–Indonesia economic cooperation.

The session was chaired by Jacint Jordana, President of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), and featured expert contributions from Johni Martha (Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia), Tirta Mursitama (Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry / BKPM & BINUS University), Carsten Sorensen (EU Delegation in Jakarta, European Commission), and Revindo Mohamad Dian (LPEM-FEBUI, University of Indonesia).

This session was livestreamed and recorded as part of the EU-VALUES Network International Conference, fostering dialogue on trade, diplomacy, and EU–Indonesia relations.
